Before taking this course, I knew I wanted to support children in my community—I just wasn't sure what that looked like. Even though I don't have school-age children, I wanted to learn how I could be part of the solution. Jasmine created a space where everyone felt welcomed and empowered to learn.

Her passion for child advocacy is contagious, and the knowledge she shared gave me a much better understanding of how to advocate for children and families within our public school system. I'm grateful for this experience and for the confidence it gave me to get involved and make a difference.

ROOTED identifies family’s needs, concerns, and goals through initial assessment. This phase helps families understand where they are and where they want to go.

ROOTED works alongside families to develop actionable goals, create action plans, and identify strategies to address their needs.

ROOTED connects families to community resources, support services, and educational opportunities that help remove barriers, strengthen support systems, and increase educational engagement and advocacy.

ROOTED equips families with the knowledge, confidence, and advocacy capacity needed to effectively engage, advocate, and support their children's success. This is accomplished through workshops, advocacy courses, coaching, educational training and community learning events.

ROOTED provides ongoing support, encouragement, and accountability as families apply what they have learned, overcome barriers, and take meaningful steps toward their goals.

ROOTED develops “the village” by creating opportunities for families to use their growth to cultivate growth in others.
